<div class=\"\">\n                              <p><strong>Punta Lobos<\/strong>&nbsp;is so many things.&nbsp; A beach, a fisherman&#8217;s village, old ruins to explore, hiking &#8230; even a playground for the rich.&nbsp; And it&#8217;s right around the corner from Todos Santos.&nbsp; You\n                                just need to tackle a gnarly dirt road to get there.<\/p>\n                     <!---->\n                            <div class=\"\">\n                              <ol>\n                                <li>The beach is primarily known for being where the fishermen put in their boats, and where they process their fish in the afternoons.&nbsp;The beach does not have calm water, so they have to battle waves and it&#8217;s interesting\n                                  to watch them do just that.<\/li>\n                                <li>They are more than happy to sell you fresh &#8230; and I mean fresh! &#8230; fish.&nbsp;We had a giant hunk of mahi that was incredible.<\/li>\n                                <li>The beach is on the Pacific and the sunsets are absolutely amazing.<\/li>\n                                <li>There are ruins of an old turtle processing plant that can explored.&nbsp;It&#8217;s not large, but it is interesting.<\/li>\n                                <li>There are a number of hikes up into the hills from here.&nbsp;Some short, others on the long side.&nbsp;Be aware they are not flat nor are they groomed.<\/li>\n                                <li>You must take one of two dirt roads to get here.&nbsp;One is on the Todos Santos side and is not the preferable one.&nbsp;The dirt road closer to Cabo is better.&nbsp;It&#8217;s still a dirt road, but it has less potholes and\n                                  far less sand.<\/li>\n                                <li>There is also a luxury hotel between the ruins and the beach.&nbsp;We didn&#8217;t stay there because &#8230; well, $750US+ can be better spent elsewhere.&nbsp;LOL!<\/li>\n                                <li>You can park overnight and for as long as you want on the road in front of the ruins.&nbsp;Early in the morning, the hikers will start parking and starting their treks, so be prepared for voices at 6am.<\/li>\n                              <\/ol>\n                            <\/div>\n    <p>I had reservations about the drive before we started (and during).&nbsp; The dirt road from the Todos Santos side is a little scary in a large bus.&nbsp; Lots of sand surfing.&nbsp; But on a hike a few days later, I could\n                                see both roads.&nbsp; And damn if every single car and truck was taking the&nbsp;<em>other<\/em>&nbsp;road.&nbsp; So that&#8217;s the way we left, and yep, it&#8217;s the much better option.&nbsp; Both roads come out on route 19 (which\n                                is a great road, by the way).<\/p>\n                              <p>This is a great spot to get away for a few days.&nbsp; Parking is free, fresh fish is available, and you can drink\/dine at the hotel.&nbsp; It&#8217;s expensive over there, but it is available.&nbsp; You will see some RVs parked\n                                there as well.&nbsp; It&#8217;s not technically allowed, but some folks chance it.&nbsp; Right at the entrance to the hotel there is a dirt road leading to the left.&nbsp; That one goes down to the ruins and the real parking.<\/p>\n                              <p>Would we come back?&nbsp; Yea, absolutely.&nbsp; It&#8217;s one of our &#8220;preset&#8221; stops for when we just want to save money on diesel and camp fees &#8230; along with relaxing.<\/p>\n                            <\/div>\n
