San Ignacio

San Ignacio is a wonderful little town that captured my heart.  It was supposed to be just a night-stop, but turned out to be so much more.

The Details
  1. It is a little confusing getting into town from route 1, but take it slow and you’ll be fine.
  2. We stayed at El Padrino Campground & Rooms and had a wonderful time. It’s a short five minute walk into the main area of the town, has showers and hookups, and the manager is wonderful.
  3. Nearby there are 3000 year old cave paintings that you can tour. And in town, there is a free museum dedicated to them.
  4. The main square is filled with restaurants and we can highly recommend Restaurant Bar Rancho Grande.  The food and drinks were wonderful and the staff super friendly.

On a Personal Note

This entry is a little thin because San Ignacio is a must-return for me.  There are so many things to do there and I’ll update this when I go do them all.  LOL!
