San Ignacio
San Ignacio is a wonderful little town that captured my heart. It was supposed to be just a night-stop, but turned out to be so much more.
The Details
- It is a little confusing getting into town from route 1, but take it slow and you’ll be fine.
- We stayed at El Padrino Campground & Rooms and had a wonderful time. It’s a short five minute walk into the main area of the town, has showers and hookups, and the manager is wonderful.
- Nearby there are 3000 year old cave paintings that you can tour. And in town, there is a free museum dedicated to them.
- The main square is filled with restaurants and we can highly recommend Restaurant Bar Rancho Grande. The food and drinks were wonderful and the staff super friendly.

On a Personal Note
This entry is a little thin because San Ignacio is a must-return for me. There are so many things to do there and I’ll update this when I go do them all. LOL!
